Luke - Seems Im the 3rd in the list of those who have missed the boat! You'll nearly have another full list here if we keep this up! lol.

Please put me on the reserve / near the top for the next course. Thanks.

Just a reminder to all that we'll be starting this three week course tomorrow evening.

Ian has now done some open boating so doesn't need to do the course anymore and Klaudia will be taking up his place as the first on the reserve list. If anyone else from the original list can't make it please let us know as we still have a waiting list!

    Transport for next week's session

The plan for next week is to do a short trip on the Regent's canal but we forgot to discuss transport.

To make logistics easier (and to try something new) we'll paddle tandem so we will need transport for 4 canoes. I can take two on my car so we need one more car with a roof rack and uprights to take 2 more boats on their sides. Chatting to Tom in the pub he seemed to think he could manage this with his Micra! Tom, are you sure? If so then we are sorted, if not I know Chris has a suitably equipped car but I'm not sure if it is practical for him to bring it on Tuesday?

Please try and arrive a little early so we can make the most of the evening - ideally we should all aim to be changed and ready to start loading the cars at 6:30 which will give us a good chance to be on the water for 7:00.

Finally, since we are seven there is a spare seat going if someone would like to join us.

Re: Transport for next week's session

There is one canoe trolley in the club cupboard and if someone was able to get there early they could wheel the canoe round.  I suggest if doing this that you take a set of bike lights as you will probably be walking t round on the road.
Love many, trust few and always paddle your own canoe

If it's any use to you guys I can lend you a trolley.  Send me an email to remind me if you do need it in case I don't check the site between now and then.

Thanks for the trolley offers but I think the plan now will be to use my car and Chris' taking two boats each. We still have a spare seat so if anyone would like to join us...

If Chris can bring his car without any hassle, that will be a better option. Thank you Chris.  Our poor car suffers enough for the cause of canoeing.  Will step into the breach if necessary though.

Don't worry, I will be bringing my car tomorrow. My driving is a bit less scary since I attended a speed awareness course. Automobile
