I've done a some ww abroad but need to get my 2* validated with the BCU which means I need to do some open canoe work. Is there anyone able to run a few beginner lessons as am really keen to get some experience in the open canoes - would be a bit of a new thing for me, always wanted to have a go.

Hi Andy,
I'm the open canoe rep. We aim to run open canoe intro courses every tuesday but there isn't always enough demand so eventually we do them when ever there are enough people interested.
Having said that there is no reason why we should just do it with one or two people. I will be at the basin tomorrow, why don't you grab me then and we can arrange something.
If anyone else is interested then please post here so that I can gauge demand.

I'd also like to do some open caneoing next week (10th June) if there's going to be a course. I've had the kayak part of my 2 star signed off, so am keen to get started on the open canoe bit.

I have promised to help out with the sea kayaking intro the next two Tuesdays but I will look into organising something on a Thursday, if this is OK with you.
We might do a combined beginners and 3* night as a few people are interested in 3* level skills. I will post again to let you know.
Meanwhile let me know if thursdays work for you.
I need to do my 2* open canoe pieces but am happy to do more if there is the chance as well.
