    Luke's Blog

I was casually browing the web (as you do) and came across this Dutch Site, which has a list of links to other kayaking/canoeing sites. Among the big celebrity names (Freya Hoffmeister, Axel Schoevers etc) is one Luke (London), with nice little stories about paddling on the Thames Tideway (some of this unfortunately in canoes, but who's perfect?).

That's not all: If you Google for "Luke London", Luke's site comes up as #1 ! London has ~12 million people, and plenty of Luke connections.

That's quite an achievement, isn't it ? Just a shame about all those canoes...:)

    Re: Luke's Blog

My blogging was at its most enthusiastic a couple of years ago when doing DW and it has rather waned since. I tend to forget that its still out there.

Must update to maintain my Google status as the #1 Luke in London!

    Re: Luke's Blog

During the Hebridean Challenge last year, I got recognized by another paddler as "that guy from the blog about DW". Luke's blog about our attempt is still one of the most comprehensive race report out there on the internet.

cold is a state of mind !

shame you both did not take some or full advantage to realise some commercial benefit from your fame and fortune

Or conversely Sean, the fame and prestige of two of our esteemed members should mean that THCC should be 'sponsored by Julian and Luke', think of the kudos that would give the club.
    O London, see
Swelling with naval pride, the pride of thee!
Wide, deep, unsullied Thames, meandering glides,
and bears thy wealth on mild majestic tides.

are you saying the THCC lacks kudos?

You got me there! I meant to say 'extra kudos'!
