    Yay, I'm up for this.

Re: White Water Trip 8th-10th August

I would like to act in my trainee level 3 capacity as an assistant coach on the lower T to build up my coaching hours.

Neil and Geoff - happy to buy you both birthday drinks as you are equally top blokes - though Geoff has a slight edge having designed the super kit booking system!

Cannot volunteer lifts at this stage as I'm hoping to be living up there by then if all goes well so might not be travelling up and down at the weekend.

Re: White Water Trip 8th-10th August

    Me too!

I could do one of the following:

    1. beg a lift for me and a boat
    2. hire a car and offer lifts for 3 people, but not for boats
    3. hire a van and take 2 people and as many boats as we can force into the back

Re: White Water Trip 8th-10th August

This makes 22ish in  total.  I'm now going to try and find a campsite that welcomes unruley groups of wet kayakers...

This is maximum with regards to paddling as well as campsites, so if your names not down and you want to come, you will have to knee-cap one of the people below.

    Helen

    Danger

    Larry

    Ian

    Keir

    Dan

    Mark

    Yatesy

    Emma

    Kate

    Myles

    Susie

    Wendy

    Biltong

    Tom

    Joanna

    Cliff

    Richard

    Geoff

    Anne

    Dimitris

    Neil

    Sarah

    Andy

Unless anyone has any strong objections I will be focusing on finding a campsite rather than anywhere more plush!.

    Cheers

    Paul

    I never swim!
Sometimes, however, I choose to not "wear" my kayak

Re: White Water Trip 8th-10th August

Till I've managed to buy the neighbouring field to accomodate you all I think you'd better find a campsite.  My garden is a little bit small and a little bit sloping to pitch more than a couple of very small tents!

Carter - don't even think about Ty Corel campsite that's just by the T.   Just not worth the hassle - not paddler friendly despite the glowing references you'll find for them on various websites.

I'm sure Neil would love to go and see Stella again at Bala backpackers...

Re: White Water Trip 8th-10th August

Camping is provisionally booked for here - http://www.tyisafbala.co.uk/

It's a fiver a night per person so a bargin.  The fact that fires and BBQ's are allowed was the deciding factor, and  they supply the fire-wood so happy days!

I'll be around tonight and will try and get a better confirmation of numbers

Re: White Water Trip 8th-10th August

I'm slightly worried - everyone on the list appears to know what they are doing on white water whereas I only know how to capsize on it.  Is this still going to have the possibility to be at a basic level as whilst I am happy to count fishes and inspect underwater rock formations I don't fancy mortal peril.
