Harry Whelan has kindly offered to run a sea kayaking session on the Thames Saturday 15th December.
Harry is probably the most experienced sea kayaker (e.g. has been around Ireland solo & UK in 80 days) in the London area and has a unique knowledge of traffic, hazards, play spots, history, etc on the tidal Thames that should guarantee a great paddle with loads of fun and learning.
He will meet you 12pm on the beach at Shadwell and expect to be back by 15.30.
You need to bring:
* Appropriate gear
* A sense of humour
* Packed lunch
He hasn't' mentioned anything about compensation for this but I would suggest a discretionary £10 per person - an absolute barging for ½ a day of coaching at this standard...
There are 6 places available and it's only open to the guys that attended the 3 star sea assessment last weekend (and those who were on the list but couldn't make it, speak to me if you are unsure). Sorry - no favouritism, just practical reasons.
Please reply here to reserve a place!
