An image that has been uploaded to the wiki may be embedded into the text of a page by inserting a statement of the form .
Some text, some more text, then the image and some more text after the image.
- This fine for small images, but larger ones generally need to be to one side of the text rather than in the middle of it.
- The original statement may be extended like this .
Some text, some more text, and some more text.
Perhaps another line, with some text, some more text, and some more text.
is also valid, but can look untidy if there is not much text.
- The image may be given a frame and also a caption - which is good for photographs.
- Add options to the statement
- Any unknown options are treated as the caption.
Some text, some more text, and some more text.
Perhaps another line, with some text, some more text, and some more text.
