Coach is responsible to ensure that all members of the group have appropriate level of skills for the intended activity and environment.

Maximum group size: 7

It is strongly advised that group includes a helper of minimal standard of 3* WW with WWSR

1 x 4* : 6 x paddler


Leader is responsible to ensure that all members of the group have appropriate skill for the intended activity and environment.

Maximum group size: 7

It is strongly advised that group includes a helper of minimal standard of 3* WW with WWSR

Minimum Coach:

White Water Kayak Coach (MW)

White Water Canoe Coach (MW)

Performance Coach WW


Minimum Leader:

White Water Kayak Leader

White Water OC1 Leader

Canoe Leader


Minimum skill level for helper:

WW Award + WWSR

Advanced water

As defined by BC (typically Grade 3+)

1 x WW AWE : 4 paddlers

1 x 5* WW : 4 x paddlers

Maximum group size: 5

BC Coach (Advance Water)
