Tower Hamlets Canoe Club is a canoe and kayaking club conveniently located in central London at Shadwell Basin. The club was formally set up back in 1984, although people had been getting together informally to paddle at Shadwell Basin from the 1970's.

We have club evenings every Tuesday throughout the year (rain or shine) where both experienced and new members practice their paddling, and we provide training up to BCU 3 star level. Paddling/training takes place either in Shadwell Basin, on the River Thames or in a nearby indoor swimming pool.

THCC is committed to the BCU Equal Opportunites Policy and takes reasonable and practical steps to support this policy:

"BCU/Canoe England is fully committed to the principles of equality of opportunity and aims to ensure that everyone has a genuine and equal opportunity to participate in Paddlesport at all levels and in all roles of the sport, irrespective of their age, gender, ability, disability, religion, race, ethnic origin, nationality, colour, social status or sexual orientation."
