Communications Officer:

  • The Communications Officer plays a key role in managing the public and internal communications for the club. Their responsibilities include the following:
  • Producing and managing the club newsletter and any other publications (e.g. yearbook)
  • Establishing and maintaining the club’s social media presence to engage current members, attract new ones, and enhance the club's visibility in the local community.
  • Managing the design, production and distribution of club merchandise.
  • Developing effective communication channels with club members to complement the existing Forum, enhancing transparency and ensuring that members are well-informed about club matters.
  • Collaborating with other committee members, particularly the Webmaster, to ensure a cohesive digital presence that accurately represents the club online
  • Providing support during club events and activities to ensure proper media coverage and promotion.
  • Regularly updating the club on the effectiveness of communication strategies and proposing new methods or technologies that could improve communication.
  • Coordinating with the Social Secretary to promote social events to maximise attendance and participation through effective advertising and communications.
